Havens Bloodstock Agency. Inc. was founded in 1988 and quickly established its position as the leading bloodstock sales and advisory agency on the west coast. Primarily focused on auction sales in California , including those for yearlings, broodmares, and two-year-olds in training, Havens Bloodstock has expanded into the full range of sales in Kentucky as well, and is the only agency with a presence in both markets. Since its inception, there are have not been many sales records we have not broken or established and have become the preeminent west coast sales agency.

Andrew Havens, founder and president, spent his childhood in Kansas City , Missouri , and was a dedicated and enthusiastic horseman from the beginning, riding every horse that anyone would let him get on. He went west to college in California the year that Secretariat won the Triple Crown, and supplemented his education with mornings at the racetrack, intent on becoming a jockey. After five years on the track, he went to work at the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association and its auction partner Fasig-Tipton California., and finally graduated to his own company some years later. He brings a lifetime of experience to Havens Bloodstock, and an unflagging love of horses, racing and the people in the game.
